Excuses are the nails used to build a house of failure.
It is easier to find an excuse than to find a reason.
Dont’ make excuses, make good.
The best job goes to the person who can get it done without passing the buck or coming back with excuses
We are all guilty at this – giving an excuse. It can be anything from giving an excuse so you couldn’t make a class that would have helped you to your goal, to an excuse as to why you could not do another rep. I was told the other day that someone’s hands ripped ‘because of the bar we had’. Really? Iceland Annie managed to win the 2011 Crossfit Games without shredding her hands at all. It wasn’t to with the bar at all my friend, it was the inefficient way you were gripping the bar and kipping.
All said, its up to you if you want to give yourself an excuse so you feel a little bit better about the situation or put your hands up and say ‘No excuses, I didn’t do it because …………’
This transfers to not just inside the gym, but outside as well. Give a thought next time when you are about to give an excuse.
